EPFO – Non-Refundable Advance to Members In Case Of Continuous Un-Employment

The Central Government has amended Employees’ Provident Funds Scheme, 1952 by adding a new provision under Paragraph 68HH vide the Employees’ Provident Funds (Amendment) Scheme, 2018.

As per this scheme, in a Factory or any Establishment, a member is allowed for a non-refundable advance up to seventy-five per cent of the amounts standing to his credit in the Fund.

Provided that member has not been employed in any factory or other establishments for a continuous period of not less than one month immediately preceding the date on which he makes an application for such non-refundable advance.

It was notified and is effective from 6th December 2018
